Privacy and cookies

This notice explains how information is handled when you use Simona Scotto’s website. The person responsible for the website is Simona Scotto, 3rd Floor, 90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE. You can make a privacy enquiry through the contact page.

Information you provide

If you use the contact form, Formspark processes your name, email address and message on Simona’s behalf so that the enquiry can be screened for spam, delivered to Simona and answered. Formspark operates from Belgium and states that submitted data is stored in Ireland. The static website does not keep a separate local copy of your message. If you use a MailerLite signup form, MailerLite processes the information you submit to manage the mailing list and requested emails.

Payments

Subscription and donation links use Stripe or PayPal. Payment-card details are entered on the payment provider’s service and are not stored by this website. The provider’s own privacy notice applies to information submitted there.

External content and cookies

Pages can load embedded YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia and Google Maps content automatically. This can disclose your IP address, browser information and page activity to the relevant provider and may allow that provider to store cookies or similar identifiers.

Pages containing a MailerLite signup form load MailerLite’s interface automatically. That interface includes MailerLite resources, a tracking pixel and Google reCAPTCHA, which can receive technical information and use cookies or similar technologies. Google fonts and archived comment avatars are served locally and do not contact Google Fonts or Gravatar.

The site itself does not run advertising or analytics code and no longer stores an optional-content preference in local storage.

Sharing and processors

Information is shared only where needed to operate the requested service. Relevant providers can include the website host, Formspark and its spam-filtering subprocessors, the receiving email provider, MailerLite, Stripe, PayPal, Google, YouTube and Vimeo. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy notice.

Retention and security

Contact submissions may remain in the Formspark dashboard and receiving mailbox until deleted. They should be kept only for as long as needed for the enquiry and any associated legal obligations. Mailing-list information should be kept only while needed for the requested service or active subscription. Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal information, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Use the contact page to make a request.

This notice may be updated when services or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version.
